SKRAPE To Release 'Up The Dose' In September
July 28, 2003SKRAPE have set "Up The Dose" as the title for their new CD, due on September 23 through RCA Records. The album — the group's first to feature new guitarist Randy Melser — was produced by Jimbo Barton (QUEENSRŸCHE, GODSMACK) in Miami, Los Angeles and in SKRAPE's own Orlando, Florida rehearsal/recording studio. It showcases 11 original songs, including "Bleach", "Syrup", "In The End", "Ocean", "Habit" and the acoustic epic, "Searching For Home".
"Up The Dose"'s first single, "Summer Song", impacts rock radio August 19. The single finds Billy Keeton (vocals),Brian Milner and Melser (guitars),Pete Sison (bass) and Will Hunt (drums, vocals) teaming to create a "skull-crushing track offset by expressive vocals, propulsive rhythms and dense guitars" — what Hunt describes as "an anthemic, all-round rocker that tells a good story," according to an official press release.
